On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, SEDCO held its 24th annual meeting celebration at the new Landing at Pine Point in Scarborough. Our 2009 business-of-the-year awards were publicly announced that evening: 1) Non-Profit/Educational Business-of-the-Year: Fiddlehead Center for the Arts; 2) Heritage/Small Business-of-the-Year: Flaherty's Family Farm; 3) Entrepreneurial Business-of-the-Year: The Cheese Iron; and 4) Corporate Business-of-the-Year: Hannaford Bros. Business Recycling Option For Businesses
Pine Tree Waste has recently arranged to pick up recycling for businesses
in Scarborough. They will provide a cart for single stream recycling as
defined by EcoMaine's accepted list of items. They will pick it up once
per week, every week for $12.00 per month for the first cart and $8.00
for each additional cart at the same location. They take credit cards,
advance payment or they can fill with approved credit. Contact Stuart
